π Ingredients
π Filling:
- 5β6 fresh peaches (peeled and sliced)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
π§ Crust/Topping:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- Prep the Peaches
- Peel and slice peaches.
- In a saucepan, combine peaches, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, vanilla, and water.
- Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes until peaches soften.
- Thicken the Filling
- Mix cornstarch with a little water, then stir into the peach mixture.
- Cook until slightly thickened, then remove from heat.
- Prepare the Batter
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Assemble the Cobbler
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Pour melted butter into a baking dish.
- Pour batter over butter (do NOT stir).
- Spoon peaches and syrup over the batter evenly (still do not stir).
- Bake
- Bake for 40β45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool & Serve
- Let cool slightly before serving.
- Best served warm with vanilla ice cream π¦

- Use fresh ripe peaches for the best flavor (or canned if out of season)
- Donβt stir the layers β thatβs what gives it that classic cobbler texture
